Some highlights from our week:

Alphabet Letter Q

We read this story and every time we heard the "Q" sound, we touched our noses.

{january: week three}

Some highlights from our week:

Ms. Carlie bought an awesome new high frequency word chart that the students really enjoy reading every day we have class.  This month we focused on "the" and got really good at reading the poem by ourselves.

{january: week two}

We started out this week chatting about how to politely keep our germs to ourselves.  We all practiced sneezing into our elbows and by the end of the story every child had requested a tissue.  Everyone suddenly had a runny nose. :)

We love this book Achoo: Good Manners Can Be Contagious, but maybe because at home we love its counterpart Have You Seen My Potty?

{january: week one}

Some highlights from our week:

Alphabet Letter N

We played a few fun games focusing on hearing the sound and recognizing the letter N.

In the News
This idea was taken from the Education Center's Circle Time from A to Z.  Each student received a picture card that started with the letter sound /n/.  We all took turns identifying the picture on our cards.  If the card began with the /n/ sound, the student could tape it to the newspaper.  If not, we set the card aside.
