We were able to finish our lambs in preschool Thursday and everyone had so much fun bleating like little lambs as I attempted to take their picture. Glad they all love to laugh & be silly!

In like a lion . . .
In March, we talked about weather and how it can be different all around the world, even on the same day. We read the book On the Same Day in March by Marilyn Singer. We have also talked a lot about how the weather this winter has not been typical. :) March has had quite a variety of weather, and we talked about typical weather and the proverb "In like a lion, out like a lamb." We ran out of time and only completed about half of our lambs, so we'll be completing them and practicing the following poem:
Poem by Lorie Hill
March roars in like a lion
So fierce, the wind so cold,
It seems to pierce.
The month rolls on
And spring draws near
And March goes out
Like a lamb so dear.
In like a lion . . .

~pepper prints~
On St. Patrick's Day, my students had a lot of fun making prints with a sliced bell pepper. It was pretty messy, so we had lots of green little fingers!

O is for Octopus
A couple of weeks ago, we learned about the letter O and my students absolutely loved making this octopus out of a toilet paper roll and, blue paper and "O" stickers. It took a lot of fine-motor skills to wind the tentacles with a pencil to make them "curly." I helped a lot, but some students did an amazing job on their own!

My little girl displaying her wand. |
We started with the penny and we made penny booklets. We'll save all of our coin wands at school and get them out when we play "Coin Clues" then they will come home for practice at home.
