{A-Maize-ing Corn Plant - science exploration week 3 - part 2}

We concluded our exploration on corn by watering our seeds & giving them sunlight.  After one week, students observed that mold was beginning to grow & they determined that the seeds need to be planted in the soil.  I also send home a little homework assignment to find out where corn is in each student's own home.

Each student "planted" six kernels of corn & added water to the paper towel.

The corn began growing after just a couple of days!
